HAC Drummers Association Musical Weekend Bisley
In early June each year the HAC Drummers Association host a musical weekend for its members and guests at their regiments Shooting Lodge at Bisley close to Pirbright Camp
Over 40 drummers attend each year arriving in time for Saturday lunch which is then followed by the first musical session “around the parts” and on the march
The annual HAC Drummers Association Dinner is held in the evening with other “Drummer Type” activities carry on well into the small hours
After a goodnights sleep in the first floor accommodation of the lodge and a hearty breakfast on Sunday morning the second musical session takes place again around the parts and on the march
Everyone departs just after lunch with fond memories of a great weekend and counting the days to the next merry meeting
Amongst those who have attended in the past are members of the Guards Division Drummers Association Corps of Drums the Yorkshire Corps of Drums the HAC Corps of Drums plus individual ex drummers from a number of other regiments.
This year’s weekend will be held on Saturday & Sunday 30th 31st May 2009 ask Martyn for an application.
